Week 2: June 4-11
The past week has been fun as I was pushed outside of my comfort zone learning/using new tools and trying new tool combinations.
With this weeks first team assignment I was able to try a new online tool called PowToon which was super fun, easy and I think that a good outcome. I was able to work with two cool classmates, who both added individually to a very good team outcome.
For the individual assignment, Tool Spotlight, I tried new technique combinations. One was Google presentation, from an uploaded converted PPT design with animated gifs. The other was taking the same PPT design and uploading into another program, Articulate Storyline to create the screencast demo. Since I recently found that company that owns Articulate Storyline, is also the owner of Screenr I found an option to use Screenr screencast directly through the program. I also found this method gave me more editing capabilities that using the free online version of Screenr. It was pretty cool and definitely will be testing some more techniques using the combo,
I also did the screen cast with audio ;( . I hate doing my own audio =barf, but I tried. Though I hate it I do believe having visual, text and audio is important for delivering information online and I should practice what I preach. In that line of thinking I will be happy when I can pay someone to do it in the future.
